"Newly declassified documents reveal that in November 1983, at the height of Cold War tensions, the United States and the Soviet Union came closer to nuclear war than historians—and even many officials at the time—have known until now."

In November 1983 I was serving as an intelligence analyst at the nations largest I+W watch center. I had just come from a fleet tour which included being part of a three carrier battle group that, despite the Soviet oceanic surveillance apparatus, covertly sailed to just off the Soviet base of Petropavlovsk in the north Pacific. At closest point of approach I was airborne and actively tracking a Soviet submarine at 200 foot above the waves, just at the 12 mile limit, with F-14s and Sukhois overhead. This, and other fleet activity in 1982, and even more aggressive fleet events of 1983 were about 'brinkmanship'. The in-your-face military activity were a part of a coherent national strategy. That strategy (1) included bankrupting the Soviets by confronting them with significant current, and insurmountable future military challenges, most notably SDI. The Soviets' inability to compete, plus the Chernobyl event which demonstrated the effects of even a single weapon on the Russian motherland to WWII hardened octogenarians, ended the Soviet empire.
Nothing like that is happening in Ukraine today. "We' are not running events. Beyond the fact that "China owns both ends of Pennsylvania avenue", globalist megalomaniacs like Soros are dictating what US governmental agencies do - NOT US voters. Even more important, the level of competence within the treasonous flacks in the Pentagon, intel agencies, and DOJ today, compared with Reagan's staff, is abysmal.
Example ... priorities as China builds the largest military in the world? As Russia modernizes it's strategic strike abilities???

So, no coherent US strategy, incompetent stooges running the government, and actions intended to further provoke a very serious, and well armed, Putin.
It's clear the effects of even a limited nuclear exchange are too abstract for far too many with uniforms, government jobs, and microphones.
So - can the 4th Reich bring about the fall of Putin, bring the world to a crisis necessitating the acceptance of a 'savior' and the great reset? All without big irradiated holes?
Or - will something ELSE happen?
Interesting times.
