Dear Mr President.
I pray daily for your safety and that of Melania and Barron. I pray that Susie Wiles is quickly healed and able to best serve you. I also pray that in these perilous times you have the true inspiration of God with which to make your decisions. Know that God does not speak thru Paula White and Hagee.
I write to express my concern that you are adequately informed on the immense vulnerability of our critical infrastructure as you contemplate the destruction of Iran's. While I am sure our military can eliminate generators and power distribution centers in Iran (we have been since I was off the coast of Iran during Reagan's inauguration) – what capability do we have to see that ours is defended from unconventional attacks here? Iran's chief proxy is Hezbollah and they are very, very well established here (1). They have long ago developed their own 'target sets' and the FBI, while able to rummage thru Melania's underwear drawer, has done little but watch them grow over the last 20 years. Consider that our high voltage transformers take a year to replace and most are readily destroyed by gunfire. No power, then no refrigeration, no sewage lift stations - major cities in anarchy in days.
We would have the red-green alliance, the Marxists in DC, and the complete dependent class, calling for revolution.
And all of that is apart from the simple question - are the Iranian citizens who will die as result of your infrastructure attacks really responsible for the actions of the Mullahs? Mullahs. I might add. who were put in power as result of the CIA and MI6 coup.
Weight this well before deciding Mr President. The elimination of the terrorist theocracy in Iran before they built– or North Korea supplied – nuclear weapons was necessary. Commencing open war before hardening our own infrastructure is, however, not likely a Divinely inspired strategy.
Very Respectfully,
xxxx CDR, USN (Ret.) and Wounded Warrior dad
