My familiarity with state of the art warfare and intelligence systems peaked in the '80s. Both of my sons are involved in 'cloud' and AI (one intensely) and I struggle to get my head around AI and quantum.

The accuracy of CS Lewis' forecast for today in "That Hideous Strength" is both amazing and frightening. Not reading that and discussing the topic of AI is akin to not reading "Unrestricted Warfare" and discussing China's foreign policy goals.
I've mentioned my suspicion of AI earlier. Back in 2020 (1) I included with concern this quote from a new age military strategy expert ....
