The Spirit of the Age

 

In 1977 I left college with an appreciation that any discipline that includes the word "science" is NOT a science - Political Science a prime example.  Over the many years subsequent I've tried to have among my acquaintances some committed Communists.  Over two decades these acquaintances included an Alinskite High School Sociology teacher whose daughter's first employer was George Soros and whose son is a 'labor reporter', and a former Anthropology Professor from UC Berkley.  I will admit to not showing all my cards to either - but at least I was a good listener. From them I learned the left runs from fixed, concise, defining terms like cockroaches run from the light and they will obfuscate to avoid revealing core intent.

To understand the left now I recommend James Lindsay, an atheist, but excellent researcher who, along with Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose, became aware of a line of fraud within academic philosophy and social studies which is intended to precipitate a leftist "deconstruction" of America.  They experimented to see how intellectually bankrupt the movement was.  To do this they produced a number of 'research' papers which appeared to prove the hard left's dogma but were blatantly absurd.  Lindsay even took the 12th chapter of Mein Kampf and, with a few word substitutions - "our movement" (the Nazi Party) replaced with "intersectional feminism", submitted it, it was acclaimed by peer reviewers ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grievance_studies_affair ).

This brought Lindsay to the attention of Michael O'Fallon, a successful businessman and devout Christian who was studying the simultaneous growth of the surveillance state and far left political encroachment into industry and religion. ( https://sovereignnations.com/ )

The resultant lectures are very valuable to watch if one intends to understand the 'Spirit of the Age" and it's invasion of Christianity.  Comments within - "if I was going to design a plan to bring all Christianity down, how would I do it?  We'd make it woke."  ... "This is the new religion."
